Backup Services
The service is provided using the university’s central backup system, located off-campus.
Minimum fee per year: 240 NIS
Pricing fundamentals
- On any given day, the daily backup size is comprised of two to three full backups and the total weight of the files changed daily during the last three months.
- To receive an average backup size for a particular month, all existing daily data for the given month is summed up and divided by the number of daily backups made.
- The minimal monthly fee is 20 NIS. The sum is derived from the cost of the system usage license, handling fees and maintenance.
- Payment when joining or ending the service in the middle of the month will be based on the relative part of the month with the service, but no less than the minimum fee (20 NIS).
A breakdown of the incremental pricing method for the Computing Division backup services:

- Average daily backup of 10.0GB: 10 NIS = 1.00NIS*10.0. 10 NIS is less than 20 NIS which is the minimum fee and thus the monthly payment will be: 20 NIS.
- Average daily backup of 80.0GB: 56.60NIS = 0.22NIS*30+1.00NIS*50. The monthly fee for 80.0GB: 56.60NIS
- Average daily backup of 1000.0GB: 179NIS = 0.06NIS*5000 + 0.22NIS*450 + 1.00NIS*50. The monthly fee for 1000.0GB: 179NIS
